Summer in the City: Our Buying Trip to NYC
We’re back from our summer buying trip to NYC and are overflowing with inspiration and energy from this amazing city.
Our first stop was MELEE THE SHOW at the High Line Hotel, a former Seminary Campus built in 1895. One of our favorite elements of MELEE is connecting with the incredible designers featured at the show and interacting with them and their collections in a beautiful and inspiring environment. We can’t wait to share our latest finds with you, from Erica Molinari, Melissa Joy Manning, Atelier Narcé, Saundra Messinger, Rene Escobar, Lene Vibe, Victoria Cunningham, and more.
After MELEE, we stopped in at one of our very favorite restaurants in NYC, Cookshop, for watermelon margaritas and a quick bite. Located in the eclectic and vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, Cookshop offers seasonal and locally produced fare that honors sustainable practices.
Next up was NY NOW, and we were so impressed by all of the amazing artists we got to connect with while there. We can’t wait to share our finds from the show, including new Shaesby, Polly Wales, Hannah Blount, Yasuko Azuma, Margaret Solow, ILA, and more.
We discovered the most stunning collection of Jamie Joseph rings and we cannot wait to share them with you!
We made our way back to Cookshop for dinner with Melissa Joy Manning and had the sweetest time together.
Our final stop of the trip was Shoppe Object, an independent home and gift show. This was our second visit ever, and we were so inspired by new and familiar artists showcased there. We fell in love with the latest totes from Graf Lantz in the most perfect colors for autumn.
We are thrilled to welcome Meg Cohen (she designs gorgeous cashmere scarves, hats, and gloves) and Caddis (durable reading glasses made to last) to our store, as well as new pieces from Chris Taylor, Lostine, Uashmama, Brooklyn Candle Studio, and more.
We also found time for a little shopping of our own and came across these adorable beaded black pumps from Coach.
We are energized and inspired by the diverse culture of NYC, by its incredible people, architecture, art, food, and fashion, and we soaked up as much as we could to bring back with us.
Stay tuned for more new arrivals from NYC!
