This perfectly precious hand-painted charm, framed in gold, features a whimsical little elf, which the Scottish call a “brownie” or “broonie.” This creature was said to occupy houses and barns, only to come out at night and complete mindless household chores and farming tasks. The hosts would leave offerings for the elf such as milk or cream, and they were particularly partial to porridge and honey. If the homeowners were to present the creature with clothing, it would disappear altogether. Signed on the back by Erica Molinari, this is a true collector’s piece.
